After 10 successful years of holding the Houston Grand Crit, we were bound to hit a pot-hole somewhere along the road. Well this year we hit that pot-hole…well actually…road construction. The course along Allen Parkway has been under construction and though it was supposed to be ready…surprise…they won’t be ready. We have looked at back-up locations within Houston and just dont think we have a venue and route that can safely pulled together by May 1st. Also, looking at postponed dates hasn’t been successful. So the bad news is that we are forced to cancel the 2016 Houton Grand Crit. The good news is that the 2017 race will be bigger and better and the road surface will be improved. We are appreciative of all the racers and spectators that have come out in 10 years of this race and we look forward to a new chapter and new course in 2017.
